Job summary

Avera Eureka Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide for a PRN, Day Shift position in Eureka, SD. You will maintain a clean, safe environment across patient rooms, nurse stations, and common areas, and support linen handling and restocking as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes guest relations, confidentiality, and adherence to safety standards in a healthcare setting. High School diploma or GED is preferred, with 1–3 months related experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area across patient rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Participates in dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and trash removal as assigned.
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper.
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintains good customer relations at all times.
• Sorts, washes, and delivers linens as needed.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.

• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.

• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.

• Maintain good customer relations at all times.

• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
