Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a seasonal Housekeeping Associate at Schweitzer to clean and prepare lodge rooms and condo units for occupancy. You will ensure rooms are clean, attractive and secure, with attention to detail, and work most weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining a professional appearance, following cleaning procedures, stocking carts and linen closets, and reporting any maintenance issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: read, write and communicate in English.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Physical: walk/stand up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance per Schweitzer dress code.
• Clean and prepare accommodations using approved cleaning procedures.
• Stock and maintain housekeeping carts and linen closets with necessary products.
• Complete Housekeeping Room Assignment and report maintenance issues or shortages.
• Maintain guest/ lodge security by ensuring doors are locked when needed.

Position Summary

Responsible for cleaning and preparing lodge rooms and condo units for occupancy in a manner that ensures guests clean, attractive and secure accommodations. Attention to detail is very important. Must be willing to work most weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, adhering to Schweitzer's dress code
• Clean and prepare accommodations for occupancy through proper application of company specified cleaning procedures
• Stock and maintain housekeeping carts and linen closets with products in required quantities to satisfactorily clean assigned rooms
• Complete the Housekeeping Room Assignment, correctly identifying the status of each assigned room and reporting any maintenance problems or product shortage
• Maintain security for guests and lodge/condo units by keeping all doors locked at all times
