Job summary

UPMC is seeking a dedicated hospital housekeeping associate for nightly cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas across the hospital. You will follow strict safety policies, dispose of waste properly, and maintain a sanitary environment for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include moving and resets of furniture, cleaning walls behind sinks, disinfecting isolation and ancillary areas, and weekly carpet care.

• Act 34 clearance required.

• Cleans and disinfects water fountains, sinks in hallways, telephones, and chair rails.
• Vacuums carpets and damp dusts furniture weekly in office areas.
• Empties trash and uses hand sweeper on carpets daily.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.

Schedule

11PM-7AM. The schedule will typically work rotating days. This opportunity will complete housekeeping duties in any area of the hospital as need needed. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. May be pulled to other areas/shifts/days/ at the needs of the Hospital.
