Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in Petoskey, Michigan. The role involves performing cleaning and housekeeping projects while adhering to hospital policies regarding hygiene and infection control.

The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and bathrooms, assists with various cleaning functions, and attend monthly department meetings. A high school diploma and 2 years of preferred housekeeping experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred in education, healthcare, and/or business and industry.

Responsibilities

• Removes all regular and medical waste.
• Cleans and disinfects all bathrooms and fixtures according to departmental guidelines.
• Cleans and disinfects all patient rooms on a daily basis per departmental guidelines.
• Maintains all floor surfaces including mopping and vacuuming.
• Completes all housekeeping projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Removes all regular and medical waste.
• Cleans and disinfects all bathrooms and fixtures according to departmental guidelines.
• Cleans and disinfects all patient rooms on a daily basis per departmental guidelines.
• Performs all cleaning functions as scheduled (high and low dusting, disinfecting of all surfaces, window cleaning, dry and wet mopping.)
• Maintains all floor surfaces (dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing or extraction, stripping, scrubbing, refinishing, burnishing.)
• Completes all housekeeping projects as assigned (stairwells, elevators, doors…)
• Attends monthly department meetings.
• Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred in education, healthcare, and/or business and industry.
