SGMC Health is hiring for a full-time Environmental Services role on the Main Campus in Valdosta, GA. The department focuses on daily cleaning and stocking patient rooms, lounges, and clinical areas to maintain a sanitary environment.

The position requires completing high school (preferred), ability to read and follow directives, and on-the-job training to safely use cleaning chemicals and tools. Prior experience is welcome but not required.

Qualificações

• Completion of high school is a desired educational requirement.
• Previous experience desirable but not required.
• Must, after brief training, demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools.
• Must be able to input information into the Bed Turn-Over computer system.

Responsabilidades

• Daily cleaning and stocking of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waitingAreas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, and stairwells in a sanitary manner.
• Follow standard housekeeping procedures reflecting department integrity.
• Participate in the department’s performance improvement activities.
• Maintain awareness and judgment in inputting information into the Bed Turn-Over system.

JOB LOCATION : Main Campus

DEPARTMENT: ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8HR Night Shift, 11 pm - 7:30 am

POSITION SUMMARY To perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells in a clean and sanitary manner in accordance with the standard housekeeping procedures. Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Must be able to read, write, and follow directives.
• Completion of high school is desired educational requirement.
• Previous experience desirable but not required.
• Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools. One week to three months on-the-job training.
• Must be able to maintain awareness and judgment to input information into the Bed Turn-Over computer system.

WORKING CONDITIONS- ADA INFORMATION

Comfortable routine working conditions with the possibility of irregular schedule including weekends. Exposure to certain levels of stress. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Exposed to hazard of burns and cuts due to working with hot equipment. Constant standing or walking with regular periods of concentration.
