Appalachian Mountain Club is hiring seasonal housekeeping staff at the Highland Center in Bretton Woods, NH. This entry-level role emphasizes guest service and maintaining a clean, welcoming lodge nestled in Crawford Notch.

You'll help guests, sanitize areas, set up conference rooms, and perform daily cleaning of rooms and common spaces, with weekly or monthly deep cleans; winter snow shoveling and summer grounds upkeep are included.

Qualifications

• Past experience in camp operations, hospitality or outdoors preferred.
• Kitchen experience preferred; willingness and ability to learn required.
• Exceptional customer service and clear communication.
• Flexible schedule required.
• Knowledge of White Mountain National Forest desirable.
• Must be a team player, detail-oriented, organized and adaptable.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assisting guests and visitors in a positive manner.

• Setting up and breaking down conference rooms for groups and events.

Position Summary

Location: Highland Center, Bretton Woods, NH

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Head Housekeeper

AMC is seeking seasonal housekeeping lodge Crew for the Highland Center. This entry level position works in the housekeeping department and has a focus on positive guest service. Housekeepers ensure that guests visiting Highland Center feel at home in a clean well cared for lodge nestled in Crawford Notch.

What You’ll be Doing at AMC

• Assisting guests and visitors in a positive manner.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all guest-facing areas and some staff areas.
• Setting up and breaking down conference rooms for groups and events.
• Participating in the daily cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, common areas and bathrooms of the Highland Center and other buildings.
• Participating in deep cleaning of the lodge and other areas on a weekly/monthly basis or as instructed.
• Helping with snow shoveling and sanding during the winter months and grounds upkeep in warmer months.

Qualifications: What AMC is Looking For

• Past experience in camp operations, hospitality and/or work in the outdoors is preferred.
• Kitchen experience preferred; willingness and interest to learn required.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively and kindly.
• Flexibility regarding schedule is required.
• Knowledge of the White Mountain National Forest area is desirable.
• Must be a team player, detail oriented, well organized, highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
• Physical abilities needed: Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, bend and kneel, and ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day.
