Responsibilities
- Maintaining the buffet, drink machines, and snack bar during your shifts to ensure cleanliness and well-stocked food options.
- Working in collaboration with the cook on‑duty during meal services to ensure strong communication between front and back of house.
- Assisting guests and visitors in a positive manner.
- Setting up and breaking down meal services, including the completion of side work checklists to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and meal services.
- Dishwashing, cleaning and organizing.
- Supporting inventory and order tasks.
- Interacting with guests regarding local information, lodge amenities, organizational efforts and programs.
- Greeting, assisting, and serving customers at mealtimes.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting all kitchen and dining areas daily to exceed NH Board of Health standards.
- Leading or assisting "dinner talks" to keep all guests informed on the opportunities that evening.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work up to 38 hours a week.
Qualifications
- Kitchen experience preferred; willingness and interest to learn required.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively and kindly.
- Flexibility regarding schedule is required.
- Knowledge of the White Mountain National Forest area is desirable.
- Must be a team player, detail oriented, well organized, highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
- Physical abilities needed: Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, bend and kneel, and ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $13.00/hr
