Job summary

AMC's Highland Center in Bretton Woods, NH seeks an energetic front-of-house leader to oversee dining operations and guest service across multiple shifts. This full-time role emphasizes teamwork, high service standards, and a passion for the outdoors.

Responsibilities include mentoring dining room staff, maintaining sanitation, assisting with beverage program, inventory, and supporting events while delivering memorable guest experiences in a seasonal setting.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years dining room/server/restaurant experience.
  • Experience leading teams and providing feedback in professional settings.
  • Exceptional customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead front-of-house dining operations, serving as a team leader and role model while supporting both morning and evening service shifts.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by welcoming visitors, responding professionally to requests, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Train, mentor, and provide ongoing support and feedback to dining room staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout all dining and beverage service areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist in the development, pricing, ordering, and implementation of seasonal beer, wine, and beverage menus.
  • Manage beverage and dining ware inventories, including weekly beverage counts, monthly dining ware inventories, and related ordering needs.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee cleaning schedules, task sheets, and operational procedures to ensure consistency and accountability among staff.
  • Support special events, coffee breaks, social hours, and other food and beverage functions through planning, setup, service, and breakdown activities.

What you’ll be doing at AMC

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of dining room, server or restaurant experience.
  • Experience leading teams and providing feedback in professional settings.
  • Familiarity with the White Mountain National Forest & the AMC preferred; passion for the outdoors is a plus!
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and varied hours based on the season.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and be on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
Salary

Salary range:$14.00- $16.00/ hr, tips may also be earned in this role but are not guaranteed.
