Job summary

The Appalachian Mountain Club is hiring seasonal housekeeping lodge crew at the Highland Center in Bretton Woods, NH. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming lodge and support guests with a positive, home-like experience.

This entry-level role involves cleaning guest rooms and common areas, setting up rooms for events, and occasional snow removal. Pay is $13 per hour with dorm-style housing options and basic benefits for longer-term or higher-hour roles.

Qualifications

• Past experience in camp operations, hospitality and/or work in the outdoors is preferred.
• Kitchen experience preferred; willingness and interest to learn required.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively and kindly.
• Flexibility regarding schedule is required.
• Knowledge of the White Mountain National Forest area is desirable.
• Must be a team player, detail oriented, well organized, highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Assisting guests and visitors in a positive manner.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all guest-facing areas and some staff areas.
• Setting up and breaking down conference rooms for groups and events.
• Participating in the daily cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, common areas and bathrooms of the Highland Center and other buildings.
• Participating in deep cleaning of the lodge and other areas on a weekly/monthly basis or as instructed.
• Helping with snow shoveling and sanding during the winter months and grounds upkeep in warmer months.

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Head Housekeeper

AMC is seeking seasonal housekeeping lodge Crew for the Highland Center. This entry level position works in the housekeeping department and has a focus on positive guest service. Housekeepers ensure that guests visiting Highland Center feel at home in a clean well cared for lodge nestled in Crawford Notch.

What You’ll be Doing at AMC
