Job summary

Covenant Living in Evanston, IL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and light maintenance services for residents and staff. The role supports ongoing operations across multiple areas and helps ensure facilities remain in good condition.

The ideal candidate will have housekeeping or maintenance experience, strong English communication, dependability, and a positive attitude toward working with older adults. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Some high school education or equivalent.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following schedule and guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs and batteries.
• Follow department standards for cleaning inside and outside areas.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning emergencies and transferring residents as needed.
• Participate in campus linen program and bed making as needed.
• Observe need for repairs and report to facilities.
