Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD seeks an experienced Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. You will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors, performing assigned cleaning tasks with efficiency and care.

You will collaborate with other departments, assist with supply maintenance, and support daily operations to uphold our standards of quality and compassion within a faith-based health system.

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Housekeeper for our Environmental Services Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Housekeeper, you will:

• Provide a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors through the effective and efficient performance of assigned environmental services functions and tasks.
• Work with other departments to assist with extra cleaning duties as they arise.
• Assist with maintenance of supplies in housekeeping, notifying supervisor when refill orders are needed.

Qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience. Ability to communicate at a level, which allows for safe and efficient job performance.
• Ability to utilize supplies, tools and equipment safely and properly.

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend rotation
• Holiday Requirements: Rotating

Pay Range:$18.00 - $22.79
