The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Tampa, FL is seeking a dedicated housekeeper for a social service shelter and office spaces. You will clean dorms and common areas, wash and store linens, and assist with meal service.

No formal education is required; six months of housekeeping experience or an equivalent combination is acceptable. You must read and communicate in English and maintain physical stamina; shift variations may apply.

Schedule/Hours: Schedule will vary between both shifts – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Weekends may be included.This position is responsible for:Performs a variety of housekeeping duties for a social service shelter/lodge and administrative office; assist serving meals; cleans shelter and administrative offices; washes, and stores linens; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the shelter/lodge and the administrative office on a daily basis.Key Responsibilities:Cleans lodge/shelter dorm areas; collects, washes, folds, and stores linens, ensures inventory of all shelter linensCleans and sanitizes common areas of the shelter and administration office, including dining area, bathrooms, hallways, computer lab, dorms, laundry rooms, breakrooms, meeting rooms, and entry ways.Empties trash cans regularly, collects trash from grounds.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping work.Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbingEmployee Benefits:Paid Time OffMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceRetirement Savings Plan AvailableLife Insurance and more!No formal education or experience required ANDAnd six months experience performing general housekeeping duties ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.*This position requires a level 2 background screening.
