Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Resident Monitor to welcome and register clients, monitor activities, and maintain a safe, orderly environment per facility policies.

The role requires vigilance, calm emergency response, and collaboration with Housing First initiatives. Education: high school diploma; one year security or social service experience preferred. Schedule: Tue–Sat, 3PM–11PM (40 hours/week). Benefits include health, retirement, PTO.

• One year experience in security or social service work preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and registers clients into the lodge/shelter facility.
• Monitors activities of residents during assigned shift and checks security of windows/doors.
• Records unique situations and responds calmly to emergencies per policies.
• Assists with laundry duties and basic first aid supplies as needed.
• Promotes Housing First and Low Barrier models in interactions with staff and clients.

Hours/Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3PM – 11PM (40 Hours)The Resident Monitor's primary duties include welcoming and registering clients into the lodge/shelter facility, monitoring guest activities during an assigned shift, and helping maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment while ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Monitors the activities of the lodge/shelter residents ensuring safety and compliance with house rules; checks security of all windows and doors; monitors cameras and make periodic rounds of entire facility; records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift.Respond to emergencies in a calm manner and initiate appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assists with all verbal and physical aggression that might occur from guests.Assist with laundry duties as assigned.Maintain guest refrigerated medication within the rotunda and provide first aid items to clients when needed to address basic first aid care.Promote and adhere to the Housing First and Low Barrier models when performing duties or interacting with internal/external staff, partners, and clients.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
