Job summary

Cameron Nursing Center in Independence, MO is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to perform daily housekeeping and maintenance tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and as directed by the Administrator or supervisor. You will ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and about one year of housekeeping experience in a commercial setting with laundry duties.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
• About 1 year of work experience in a commercial setting with housekeeping/laundry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general housekeeping/cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary, safe, attractive, and orderly environment.
• Receives assignments from supervisor and follows cleaning schedule for housekeeping duties.
• Cooperates with other facility personnel to meet residents' needs and maintain a warm, calm environment.
• Adheres to established employee policies and dress code.

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Performs a variety of general housekeeping/cleaning duties in various areas to maintain the center in a sanitary, safe, attractive, and orderly condition.
• Receives assignments from supervisor and follows cleaning schedule as outlined for housekeeping department to clean offices, handicap and visitor’s restrooms, activity room, kitchen restroom, service entrance and therapy room, entrances and exits, utility areas, closets, lounges, lobbies, halls, etc.; Performs emergency housekeeping
• Cooperates with other facility personnel to ensure that services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of residents; creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.

• Adheres to established dress code.
