Job summary

Avera St Anthony's Hospital is seeking a dedicated housekeeping staff member for the evening shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves maintaining a clean environment across patient rooms, offices, and common areas, and delivering essential cleaning services to support patient care.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience. Ability to work as part of a team and uphold Avera's CARE standards is essential for this

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in assigned areas such as patient rooms, offices, hallways, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities including dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Keeps designated areas stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper.
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintains good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and deliver linens.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
