Job summary

Avera Grassland Campus in Mitchell, SD is seeking an Environmental Services team member to maintain a clean, safe patient and public environment. You will clean patient rooms, offices, lounges, hallways, and common areas, and ensure supplies are stocked for daily operations.

Hours are 3:30pm–11:30pm with every 4th weekend required. Training provided; PTO from day one and retirement benefits are offered to eligible staff, reflecting Avera’s commitment to care and community.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent
• 1-3 months related experience
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area such as patient rooms, offices, lounges, hallways, and lobby areas.
• Participates in cleaning activities including dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper.
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintains good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and deliver linens.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do

• - Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• - Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• - Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• - Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• - Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• - May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
