Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Longmeadow, MA is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our team part-time. You will perform routine floor care and ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage and weekend/holiday rotation. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, disinfecting high-traffic areas, and coordinating with daily activities to minimize disruption.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors throughout the long-term care facility.
• Clean and disinfect floors and high-traffic areas according to infection-control and facility safety standards.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Coordinate cleaning activities around residents, staff, meals, and scheduled activities to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.

Part-Time | 7:00AM - 3:00PM | weekend and holiday rotations
