Job summary

JGS Lifecare is seeking a Floor Care Technician for the JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home to maintain clean and safe floors throughout the facility. The role supports a compassionate, resident-centered environment and contributes to a safe living space for residents and staff.

This part-time position runs from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with weekend and holiday rotations, offering hands-on duties like sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, and disinfecting floors, while operating and maintaining floor-care

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in healthcare or senior living settings preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors throughout the long-term care facility.
• Clean and disinfect floors and high-traffic areas according to infection-control and facility safety standards.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Coordinate cleaning activities around residents, staff, meals, and scheduled activities to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
