Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. The role encompasses housekeeping duties, ensuring areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while meeting residents' needs.

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment, requiring adherence to cleanliness, safety, and HIPAA guidelines; the ideal candidate has a high school diploma (preferred) and healthcare housekeeping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, especially in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility, is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with elderly or disabled individuals.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving items.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the facility maintenance team.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining an organized storage area for cleaning supplies.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, family members, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the facility.
