Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. The role involves routine cleaning, room sanitation, and coordinating supplies while following infection control protocols.

The position supports a healthcare setting and requires attention to detail, reliability, and compassionate service to elderly residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare housekeeping is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the facility maintenance team.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining an organized storage area for cleaning supplies.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations, including the use of PPE as necessary.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, family members, and staff. Maintain confidentiality of resident information and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
