Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the facility. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and support infection control policies while following safety regulations.

This full-time role (7a-3:30p) includes every other weekend, with opportunities to contribute to resident satisfaction and collaborate with all departments. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred and professionalism is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas per schedule.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as directed.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and solutions.
• Report repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Keep housekeeping cart and storage areas organized.

Position Type: FT 7a-330p with every other weekend

Description

The Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.

Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff

Position Requirements

Qualification
