Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and laundering linens.

The role requires following infection control policies, using cleaning equipment properly, and providing respectful service to residents and staff. Weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred, especially in healthcare.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ personal clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff

Position Type: FT 7a-330p with every other weekend

Description

The Housekeeping and Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and laundering linens and personal clothing in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.

Housekeeping & Laundry Aide Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ personal clothing.
