The Ashton on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents. You will work closely with the team at The Ashton on the Plaza to deliver outstanding care and a warm experience that defines our community.

Starting at $17 per hour, the role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork. The position offers opportunities for training, benefits, and career growth within Sonida Senior Living.

Formación

• Prior experience in senior living/healthcare/hospitality preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in janitorial/maintenance and minor repairs helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
• Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs as assigned.
• Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
• Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.

THE JOB: As a Houskeeper, you'll help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents. With your kindness, attention to detail, and dependable teamwork, you'll make a difference from the moment your shift begins. Working closely with the team at The Ashton on the Plaza, you'll play a key role in delivering the exceptional care and experience that defines our community.

THE STARTING RATE: $17 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
• Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs as assigned.
• Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
• Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required
• Required license/certification, if applicable
• A caring attitude and reliable attendance
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
• Must be 18 years of age or older
