Job summary

Sonida Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeper to help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents at The Ashton on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO. You will support housekeeping, laundry, and minor repairs, contributing to exceptional care and resident experience on every shift.

The starting rate is $17 per hour, with benefits for eligible full-time staff, paid time off, and retirement plan options.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
• Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs as assigned.
• Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
• Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.

THE STARTING RATE:

$17 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required
• Required license/certification, if applicable
• A caring attitude and reliable attendance
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
• Must be 18 years of age or older
