Job summary

Delta Gamma's Beta Eta Chapter House is seeking a House Director to oversee daily business operations, including maintenance, food service, safety and security for a 55-member live-in facility and a chapter of over 250 members.

You will manage budgets, obtain repair estimates, coordinate with the House Corporation Board, and supervise service providers while ensuring compliance with university and chapter policies. You must reside in the chapter house each night students are in residence.

Qualifications

• Ensures a safe and productive environment for collegians and staff.
• Responds appropriately during emergencies by contacting appropriate parties.
• Creates a strategy for long-term care and upkeep of the facility for the House Corporation Board.
• Obtains detailed estimates for all work to be completed on the House.
• Keeps accurate records of maintenance repairs including roof, HVAC, security, sprinkler, plumbing and electrical.
• Communicates maintenance issues to the House Corporation Board and coordinates routine issues timely.
• Stays within budget for ad hoc expenses and reconciles receipts.
• Purchases kitchen, cleaning and necessary supplies while maintaining inventory.
• Collaborates with the Chef and collegians to plan nutritious meals within budget.
• Manages preferred service providers within budget.
• Remains with all visitors including service providers.
• Notifies House Corporation Board of insurance claims or major repairs.
• Adheres to university, House Corporation Board, Office of Housing and chapter policies and rules.

Responsibilities

• Procure supplies and manage inventory for house operations.
• Work with the Chef to plan meals that fit budget constraints.
• Oversee service providers and ensure work is completed properly.
• Inform Board of hazards, insurance issues, and major repairs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and scheduling around university calendar.
