Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, or related Field.
• One or more years related experience or currently enrolled in a related degree program or minimum five years' experience.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License and a safe driving record.
• CPR/First Aid certification and safety care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth.
• Integration of quality of life ideals into daily management and program development.
• Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
• Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers.
• Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
• Directly supervise a team of direct care staff.
• Interviews, hires and trains employees.
• Planning, assigning, training and directing work.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• On call responsibilities including out of hours emergencies.

This position emphasizes maintaining high-quality, safe, and inclusive living spaces, promoting each resident’s well-being and achievements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advancing organizational goals through effective program development, staff supervision, and operational excellence.
