Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise Vive daily with a team-based approach to operations.
• Manage flow of new residents including orientations, dorm assignments, and conflict mediation.
• Oversee completion of resident chores.
• Perform building rounds.
• Monitor resident supplies and maintain full inventory.
• Attend scheduled meetings with coworkers and leadership.
• Oversee adherence to house rules and policies.
• Address resident issues and escalate as needed to leadership.
• Report daily activities to Vive Building Manager and safety team.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard information per policies.
• Track reports and statistics for grants and board reports.
• Suggest process improvements and report needs to supervisor.

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a House Manager. This position is full-time, within the VIVE Department, working at our VIVE location.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise activities at Vive daily with a team-based approach to operations
• Monitors and supports the flow of new residents in the building including orientations, dorm assignments, and interpersonal conflict mediation.

• Oversee resident's adherence to established house rules and policies
• Addresses resident issues and complaints bringing escalated issues to leadership
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions under pressure during day-to-day operations and in escalated situations
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all information in accordance with all policies and regulations
• Meet with facility managers for client case conferences and procedures/issues
• Oversee donations
• Able to display patience and other trauma-informed care approach when dealing with clients, staff, and outside agencies
• Excellent communication skills, especially with those who English is not a first, second, or third language.
• Provide active listening to address resident concerns, mediate conflict and resolve issues
• Ensure all actions, person conduct, and communications represent the organization professionally.
• Communicate and report daily to other House Manager(s) and safety team on daily activities
• Ability to function autonomously and discern when to seek direction, and when to make decisions.
• Tracking reports and statistics for grants and board reports
• Update processes for efficiency and report to supervisor recommended changes or needs as appropriate
• Report to Vive Building Manager observable building issues in need of repair or maintenance

Rate: $20 - $23 an hour. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
