Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a House Lead in Whittier, CA. The role supports the Administrator to coordinate home operations, ensuring health and safety needs are met and compliance with CCR Title 17/22 and the Lanterman Act.

The House Lead trains and mentors staff while promoting resident independence. The position requires DSP II, RBT, CPI and First Aid/CPR certifications, with a strong emphasis on safety and person-centered supports.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of professional or personal caregiving experience (preferred with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses).
• DSP Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 are required.
• RBT Certificate required.
• CPI preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• First Aid/CPR preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.
• Candidates must pass all pre-employment requirements including a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as per IPP.
• Support IPP/ISP goals for residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment for clients.
• Accompany residents to visits and activities; encourage socialization.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with cleanup.
• Transport clients using company vans as needed.
• Report incidents and communicate with the administrator daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
