The Server is responsible for taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service. Duties include greeting customers, recommending menu items, ensuring order accuracy, and processing payments. Servers must maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety standards, and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Excellent communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Essential Functions
  • Greet guests warmly, take food and beverage orders, and ensure special requests or substitutions are accurately fulfilled.
  • Be fully knowledgeable of menu items, including ingredients and common dietary restrictions, to advise guests appropriately.
  • Pre-bus and bus tables, and maintain a clean, organized dining area throughout service.
  • Prepare and deliver necessary food items such as appetizers, sides, and desserts as needed.
  • Accurately and promptly process all guest payments according to company standards.
  • Complete assigned opening, closing, and side work tasks to prepare and reset the dining area.
  • Assist fellow servers and support team operations for seamless guest service.
  • Adhere to service, safety, and operational procedures, reporting equipment or supply needs and following all company policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, equipment handling, and compliance with required licenses or certifications.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow recipes.
  • Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
