Job summary

Overview

The Server is responsible for taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service. Duties include greeting customers, recommending menu items, ensuring order accuracy, and processing payments. Servers must maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety standards, and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Excellent communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Essential Functions

• Greet the guest and take all food and beverage orders.
• Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients with relation to common dietary restrictions.
• Pre and post bus tables in assigned station.
• Receive all payments accurately and timely.
• Perform opening/closing and side work duties as needed.
• Prepare food items for guests including appetizers, sides and desserts.
• Assist other servers with their tables.
• Ensure all equipment is in proper operation and supplies are up to par.
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the assigned station and service areas.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
• Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while continually striving to improve standards of operations.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.

Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently to assist guests
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests in normal in-person and phone conversations
• Ability to bend and twist, push, pull, stoop, and kneel
• Ascend and descend a ladder
