Job summary

Martin Resorts, Inc. is seeking a hotel server to greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and ensure accuracy and substitutions while maintaining menu knowledge and dietary considerations.

You will pre- and post-bus tables, handle payments, and perform opening/closing duties. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalence required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.
  • Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Greet the guest and take all food and beverage orders.
  • Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients with relation to common dietary restrictions.
  • Pre and post bus tables in assigned station.
  • Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
  • Performing necessary opening/closing and side work duties.
  • Prepare food items for guests such including appetizers, sides and desserts.
  • Assist other servers with their tables.
  • Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
  • Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow safety and security procedures.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state food safety guidelines.
Job Qualifications/Requirements

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in‑person and phone conversation
  • Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
  • Ascend and descend a ladder
