Job description

As a Server, you will be responsible for excellent customer service in order to create an exceptional dining experience for every guest, promoting satisfaction and a marvelous visit during each visit. You are a friendly, responsive individual who enjoys working in a team and displays problem solving skills. The server has hands‑on experience and uses active, effective communication when interacting with guests and coworkers. You are detail‑oriented and have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures. Servers must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and be able to safely lift/maneuver heavy trays of food.

Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:
  • Represent the restaurant with authenticity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Warmly welcome guests, letting them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes, offering appropriate recommendations and accurately recording orders.
  • Promptly enter orders into the point‑of‑sale systems to then deliver food and beverages to each guest in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the guests’ dining experience throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, responding promptly and courteously to requests.
  • Maintain a smooth payment process by preparing the final bill, presenting check to guest, accepting payment, processing charges, and making changes when necessary.
  • Upon completion of meal, thank guests for visiting and invite them to return.
  • Actively be prepared to assist in side work or other duties as necessary or as assigned, displaying a willingness to assist fellow servers or bussers as situations arise.
  • Display a commitment to a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable operation of the restaurant through the fulfillment of directions by superiors.
  • Perform side work at the start, during, and at the end of each shift, such as cleaning service areas and resetting tables.
  • Sustain the safety of the restaurant through risk‑management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee and knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Follow safety procedures as your role is defined.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Experience and Education:
  • 1 year of Restaurant Related Experience preferred.
Pay:The rate of pay for this position is $13 Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

Flexible and long hours sometimes required

Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
