Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts seeks a friendly, guest-focused server at the Marriott Downtown Salt Lake City City Creek. You will greet guests, take orders, input into the POS, deliver orders, and ensure accuracy while upholding service standards.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment near The Salt Palace Convention Center, with benefits including health insurance and a supportive team that values career growth.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Be a team player and willing to pitch in with coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to memorize, recite and promote menu items.
• Lift and transport trays up to 30 lbs throughout shift.
• Operate beverage and toast equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Adapt communication style for supervisors, coworkers, guests.

Responsibilities

• Check station for setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
• Greet guests, explain specials and promotions.
• Record and repeat guest orders for accuracy.
• Input orders into POS and notify kitchen of details.
• Deliver completed orders with condiments and accurate items.
• Comply with laws and policies for serving alcohol.
• Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Present checks promptly and manage closing procedures.
• Attend shifts reliably and perform other duties as assigned.
