Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is hiring a friendly restaurant associate at our downtown Salt Lake City hotel. You will greet guests, take and confirm orders, input into POS, and deliver orders while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities include promoting menu items, assisting with beverages and desserts, handling payments, and ensuring a clean service area. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and be a positive team player.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Willing to pitch in and help coworkers as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of food/bev service and guest relations etiquette.
• Familiarity with table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to carry trays up to 30 lbs in a dynamic setting.
• Operate beverage and toast equipment as needed.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with guests and staff.
• Operate a keyboard and learn POS procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; adapt to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and explain specials/promotions.
• Record and confirm guest orders; input into POS.
• Deliver orders and items with accuracy and care.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and company policies on service.
• Assist with beverage service and dessert promotion.
• Close checks promptly and provide great guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and setup of service stations during shifts.
