Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston is seeking a friendly Server to provide prompt, accurate food and beverage service with a welcoming attitude. You will greet guests, take orders, serve meals, and handle payments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hotel knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, service, or consumer-facing franchise preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Always provide friendly service with a smile to guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Must arrive on time and clock in/out as scheduled.
• Provide sufficient notice when calling out for a shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and give a clear and correct description of food and beverage options.
• Deliver hot to order items from kitchen to tables.
• Input orders into computer and process payments.
• Prepare coffee and specialty drinks as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for dining.
• Observe diners and respond to requests.
• Complete daily inventory prep and side work.
• Know current menu and offerings.
• Escort guests to tables.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness policies.
• Maintain restaurant and surrounding area cleanliness.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and amenities.
