Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Security Manager to lead the Security Department, ensuring a safe and secure guest and employee environment across properties. You will manage staff, review reports, and coordinate with management during emergencies to protect people and property.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in a hotel security role, with supervisory experience preferred, and hold a Hawaii Guard Card. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication are required for daily operations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in MS Office/Word/Excel and company approved spreadsheets.
• Must have a valid driver’s license from the applicable state.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Hawaii State Security Guard Registration (Hawaii Guard Card).
• Physical ability for long hours and heavy lifting as described.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Security personnel according to Highgate Hotel’s SOP's.
• Review Activity Reports of all security shifts daily.
• Review incident reports and ensure they are written clearly.
• Relate emergency information to designated management.
• Assist in supervising and reviewing investigations.
• Implement procedures for emergencies such as fires, bomb threats, weather problems, and evacuations.
