Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Safety and Security Officer for a dynamic hotel environment in California. The role focuses on protecting guests and employees, patrolling premises, and reporting hazards in adherence with Highgate standards.

The position requires strong communication, ability to handle emergencies, and a courteous, service-oriented approach. Applicants should be prepared for flexible hours and physically demanding tasks as part of hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Use proper radio etiquette at all times.
• Maintain visual contact with Front Desk and lobby during shifts.
• Maintain daily activity log and confidentiality of incidents.
• Assist guests to rooms and during emergencies.
• Respond to medical, security, guest complaints and other incidents.
• Investigate incidents and document findings clearly.
