Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Security Manager to safeguard hotel assets, associates, guests, and visitors on the property. The role requires leading security operations, training staff, and developing plans to protect people and assets while aligning with hotel policies.

Candidates should have 5+ years in hotel security or related field, with English and Spanish communication skills. A strong service orientation and crisis-management ability are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in hotel security or related field.
• Strong communication in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
• Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns from employees and guests.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure security protocol compliance.
• Proactive, service-oriented approach with crisis-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all security aspects of the daily operation of the Hotel.
• Supervise and train security personnel.
• Develop and implement security plans and policies to protect assets and people at the hotel.
• Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
• Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of problems or matters requiring attention.
• Maintain relationships with government and law enforcement partners.
• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and requisition procedures.
• Be visible on the floor and assist staff as needed.
• Be involved in and/or conduct departmental and hotel training.
