Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Officer to protect hotel guests and staff, patrol premises, and respond to medical and security incidents. You will maintain logs, assist guests, and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

The role requires standing for long periods, physical stamina, and excellent communication to manage security across hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy physical effort and ability to lift, push or pull objects as needed.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and move quickly when required.
• Effective communication with guests and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Use proper radio etiquette at all times.
• Maintain contact with Front Desk/Night Auditor and lobby area.
• Review and maintain daily activity logs.
• Provide assistance to guests and during medical emergencies.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents and investigate reports.
• Monitor cameras and secure access to personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports clearly and promptly.
• Assist in escorting money or valuables as needed.
