Job summary

Romasowatonna in Owatonna, MN is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server to take orders, serve guests, and uphold hotel dining standards. You will be courteous, knowledgeable about offerings, and capable of serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic items to dining parties as needed.

Applicants should have at least two years in a similar role, be at least 21, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Training in TIPS and MICROS POS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires strong customer service and communication skills.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar position with a full-service hotel or restaurant.
• TIPS training certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and meals to guests, courteously and efficiently.
• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beer brands, and non-alcoholic selections.
• Maintain knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
• Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in opening and closing side duties and ensure cash handling accuracy.
