Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Hotel Baker/Pastry Cook at Grand Hyatt San Antonio. The role involves preparing pastry products to pastry shop standards, and assisting higher level bakers under Chef's guidance.

Ideal candidates will have prior pastry experience, knowledge of kitchen equipment, and a reliable, energetic approach. The job requires standing for long periods and flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a commercial baking/pastry operation preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools preferred.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of all pastry products as trained in accordance to Pastry shop standards.
• Assisting higher level bakers.
• All other duties as assigned by Chef.
