Job summary

Hotel Don Fernando de Taos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located in Taos, New Mexico, seeks an Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations, maintain proper controls, and uphold brand standards across departments. Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in hospitality management or business preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls.
• Working knowledge of all hotel departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing long- and short-range financial objectives consistent with property objectives.
• Ensure payroll and purchasing controls are in place to maintain and exceed profit goals.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, availability, arrivals/departures.
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Lead employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment.
• Establish and train standards for cleaning and safe working conditions.
• Work to achieve high scores on customer service, cleanliness and franchise inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.
