Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of management experience in hospitality.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management and co-workers clearly.
• High school graduate; college degree in hospitality management or business preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls.
• Working knowledge of all hotel departments.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Public speaking to groups of customers or staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving hotel financial goals and budget targets.
• Ensure payroll and purchasing controls are in place to maintain and exceed profit goals.
• Assist in developing long- and short-range financial objectives.
• Ensure that Shaner and franchise standards are followed.
• Be accessible to guests and employees and maintain service levels.
• Lead staff performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment.
• Establish and train cleaning and safety standards across departments.
• Work to achieve high scores on Shaner and franchise inspections.
