Home2 Suites Cincinnati/West Chester is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise back‑of‑house departments and support the General Manager in profitability efforts. You will oversee housekeeping and engineering tasks, train associates, and ensure guest satisfaction through efficient operations.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, comfort with financial data, and the ability to manage high‑pressure situations while maintaining guest focus and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems.
• Must evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful high‑pressure situations.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adapt as needed.
• Must be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying and resolving concerns from co‑workers and guests.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
• Must be able to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service‑oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards as required by scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming per brand standards.
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Assist with required certifications as applicable for position.
• Supervise and support Maintenance and Housekeeping in the absence of the General Manager.
• Assist in creating an environment where employees make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist the General Manager with creating financial reports and meeting corporate deadlines.
• Participate in required MOD coverage as scheduled.
• Ensure training in service standards is taking place in each department.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training for Guest Services based on occupancy.
• Ensure weekly Front Desk meetings to address oversell settings.
• Foster a positive team environment focused on guest service and employee development.
• Maintain compliance with Preventative Maintenance and Deep Cleaning programs.
• Be present in public areas during peak times to assist guests.
• Maintain SOP familiarity across Operations departments.
• Promote open communication with managers and staff.
• Complete corporate training modules and become certified to train as required.
• Be in public areas during peak times greeting guests and offering assistance as needed.
• Maintain security procedures for the hotel safe.
• Attend all scheduled property meetings.
