Job summary

Island Hospitality Management, LLC. is seeking a General Manager to oversee hotel operations and drive profitability in Sanford, FL. You will coordinate diverse teams, plan short and long-term strategies, and report to the corporate office.

Flex scheduling may be required to ensure hotel success. You will lead guest service initiatives, manage budgets, and optimize revenue while aligning with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Meets or exceeds guest service expectations across departments.
• Forecasts revenue and manages discretionary expenditures to optimize cash flow.
• Analyzes financial and operational data to adjust plans, labor, and costs.
• Ensures staff are trained in cash handling, vouchers, inventories, and receivables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectations
• Meet or exceed budgeted profit and margin for the hotel
• Forecast revenue/cost problems and manage discretionary expenditures to utilize cash flow
• Analyze financial and operational information to adjust business plans, labor, and operating costs
• Ensure hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables
• Identify major revenue and expense opportunities and prevent problems
• Assist team leaders in meeting and exceeding goals
• Develop and implement marketing and sales plans based on demand segments to maximize REVPAR and Market Share
• Periodically inspect rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.
• Manage human resources functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions
