Goodwin Recruiting seeks a strategic Hotel Director of Operations in Montgomery, AL to oversee Rooms and support F&B at our upscale boutique hotel. This hands-on leadership role directly supervises Rooms and F&B leaders and aims to drive profitability, engagement, and guest satisfaction across the property.

The ideal candidate is operational, financially savvy, and floor-visible, with 5+ years in hotel leadership and a track record of coaching department heads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience overseeing Rooms and Food & Beverage operations.
• Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and labor controls.
• High operational knowledge across Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Restaurant operations.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop department heads.
• Desire to grow within the company toward GM roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day Rooms operations.
• Step into operational leadership as needed across departments.
• Partner with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and F&B leadership for seamless operations.
• Ensure guests are consistently satisfied with service, cleanliness, and F&B execution.
• Coach leaders and teams in service recovery and hospitality standards.
• Interview, hire, train, coach, and discipline supervisors and team members.
• Review daily revenue reports and forecasts to align with budget goals.
