Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a skilled hotel maintenance technician to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and system troubleshooting across rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and grounds.

You will handle carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, ensure safety standards, and participate in on-call coverage. The role requires strong hands-on abilities, experience with CMMS, and the ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Seven years of maintenance experience in hotel or similar environment.
• Experience with computer maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more of the following certificates or certifications: HVAC, Facilities Maintenance Technician, NCCER Certifications Levels 2.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance calls for all hotel spaces and grounds.
• Perform carpentry repairs on doors, windows, trim, furniture, counters and partitions.
• Patch and repair drywall walls and ceilings; perform demolition as required.
• Touch up paint and complete space paint outs per specifications.
• Repair, modify and replace ceilings, air handlers, PTAC units, electrical panels and other building systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, pool and kitchen equipment.
