Job summary

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is hiring a hotel maintenance technician to support maintenance across rooms, public spaces, offices, and grounds. The role requires basic trades, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks, with a focus on safety and timely response to calls.

Initial probationary period is 90 days part-time with up to 40 hours per week; after probation, the position becomes full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance tasks in a hotel environment.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to policies and OSHA regulations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety regulations and policies.
• Responds to maintenance calls for hotel spaces and grounds (HVAC, plumbing, ceilings, walls, pools).
• Performs minor repairs such as door hardware, painting touchups, and fixture replacements.
• Assists with demolition work and drywall repairs as needed.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance and checks, including thermostats and lighting.
• Works with ladders, lifts, and other access equipment.
• Provides on-call coverage as required and works nights/weekends as scheduled.
