Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance across hotels, offices, and grounds. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, with responsibilities spanning carpentry, painting, and equipment upkeep.

The role requires seven years in hotel maintenance or similar settings, strong communication, and the ability to work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Seven years of hotel maintenance experience or similar environment.
• Certificates: HVAC, NCCER Level II, or Facilities Maintenance Technician.
• Comfort with reading complex architectural/mechanical plans.
• Proficient using CMMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on rooms, public spaces, offices, and grounds.
• Repair carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
• Monitor safety, life safety systems, and building automation; respond to maintenance calls.
• Perform preventive maintenance on walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures.
• Maintain pools and fountain systems, and test water chemistry.
