Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg is seeking a skilled hotel maintenance professional to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections across spaces, kitchens, and grounds. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems while coordinating with teams to maintain high standards.

The role requires seven years in hotel maintenance with carpentry, painting, and systems knowledge; CMMS experience and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in hotel maintenance or similar environment with hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, controls, fire alarm, fire suppression, and kitchen equipment.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or GED certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety regulations and policies.
• Responds to maintenance calls for hotel spaces and grounds (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, pools, kitchens).
• Performs carpentry repairs on doors, windows, trim, furniture, counters, and partitions.
• Repairs drywall, patches, and performs demolition as required.
• Paints and touches up hotel spaces per specifications.
• Repairs or replaces ceilings, lighting, and electrical components; assists with building automation systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on building systems, life safety, and equipment including pools, kitchens, and plumbing.
• Test pool water chemistry and adjust as needed.
• Provide on-call coverage 24/7 as scheduled.
• May work nights, weekends, holidays, or shifts as required.
